Best Chair Ever Owned - Purchased Another!
I loved this chair so much, I bought another. I haven't had any issues with the seat, back, nor canopy. This product is as advertised. I am perplexed by some negative comments since it hasn't been my experience in the least.

I owned an earlier model of this same chair when it was made by another company. I was worried I would never be able to find one again but thankfully Tommy Bahama makes it now and they added a couple of upgrades like the wooden handles and side pouch. It's my favorite beach chair because the style and function fit me perfectly. I am 5'7", 155 pounds and the first chair lasted for at least 5 years before it rusted out. Yes, the seat fabric stretched like other reviews say but it never tore or broke. And yes, the overhead mechanism gets a little wonky but I could still make it work fine and it holds up to strong winds. This chair is unique, cool and practical all in one. I also like the pouch up under the canopy roof. I'm thinking about buying another one just to have as a backup in 5 years lol.

Don't waste your money
Love the chair however the canopy does not go up or down after a few usages. Canopy Very hard to put up and down. Had two chairs and they both had the same issues. Won't buy another one.

Dissappointed
Thought we found the perfect beach chair, paid over $200 for 2 chairs. Used them last summer and again this past summer. The seam on the bottom where its stitched across the back bar gave way and ripped right in the center! Contacted Tommy Bahama and told its out of warranty. For $200 we got 2 summers. I have chairs older than my kids in better shape. I thought I was shopping with Tommy Bahama, not some vendors warranty. They said they stand by their products, not this time.

Lid won't close
I was so excited about having shade at the beach. But the second time I took this chair to the beach the lid started sticking. I don't mean a little, but nearly impossible to lift up and down. I paid what I consider alot for this chair and I expected much more from this brand.
